Bruce Barnard is a chartered member of the CIM, with over 30 years experience in strategic marketing management, planning and business development.

He has held senior marketing roles and directorships in a variety of organisations, including FTSE 100 companies. For the past 10 years he has been managing director of Crossover Business Developments, a consultancy that provides strategic marketing and business planning advice, retail solutions and marketing services. Bruce has developed and delivered training courses and conference papers on a wide range of marketing and business development-related topics.

Industry Experience: Sports Equipment (Various clients), Household Products (Viners Silverware, Hotpoint, GEC, English Electrics), Lighting (GTE Sylvania), Consumer Electronics.

Bruce has acted as an expert witness in two recent cases

  • Briefed by Kennedys in London, to prepare a report relating to the launch of a new garden fertilizer product. An out of court settlement was reached shortly after receipt of his report.
  • Briefed by Pardoes in Taunton, to prepare a report relating to the market potential of a new business venture. This case was heard in the High Court, Mercantile Division in Bristol and Mr Barnard was called as a witness to give evidence.

Denise Weatherup is a strategic marketing specialist who has worked in marketing management, product management, research and new business development roles, with experience of managing and executing successful marketing programmes across a wide variety of media

Jenni O’Connor comes from a broad-based marketing background which has included Business to Business, PR and retail. She has extensive experience of PR, advertising, event management, website development and the production of marketing materials. She is a chartered member of the CIM and speaks fluent French and Spanish.

Industry Experience: Engineering (Parkman Ltd.), Retail ( Sheraton Centre Mall , Barbados ). Golf Equipment and Retail. Also extensive experience of journalism and publishing

Rob Clay is a Chartered Marketer with the CIM. Prior to joining Crossover, he worked at BT plc for 4 years in various marketing roles. His key skills include market research, direct marketing and campaign design and delivery.
